MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā Police arrested two men in connection with an armed robbery attempt that they said ended in a fatal shooting in northwest Miami-Dade early Wednesday morning.
Miami-Dade police said the male victim was followed by 38-year-old Emanuel Angulo and 24-year-old Jasmine Moore so the pair could rob him just after 1 a.m. near the area of Northwest 22nd Avenue and Northwest 46th Street.

According to investigators, Moore distracted the victim while Angulo struck him on the head and body with a large metal ashtray in an attempt to render him unconscious.
After the victim collapsed, police said Angulo and Moore continued to attack him with a gun.
During the attack, authorities said Moore dropped a Glock Model 23 .40 caliber handgun, which was retrieved by 62-year-old Darryl Hargrove who arrived at the scene shortly after the incident occurred.
Police said Hargrove used the handgun to shoot the victim in the chest. Authorities confirmed the victim, whose age and identity have not been disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said shortly after the shooting occurred, Hargrove returned the gun to Moore and then fled the scene on foot after stealing the victimās backpack which they said contained narcotics.
According to the report, the victim and both suspects were known to each other.
Police said they later found Hargrove at Dolphin Food Market, located at 2352 NW 46 Street, and transported him to the MDPDās Homicide Bureau.
The Miami-Dade County Medical Examinerās Department determined the victimās cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest, ruling the manner of death a homicide.
Police have not disclosed the victimās age or identity, and the motive as to why the pair targeted him remains unclear.
Jail records show Hargrove faces one count of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon, while Angulo faces charges of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and armed robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon.
As of Thursday, both suspects are being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where both of their bonds have not yet been determined.
It is not known if Moore will be facing any charges for her alleged involvement in the incident.
