Special needs fair set to take place in Pembroke Pines

Event provides access to educational support, therapy services, and community programs

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital will host its annual Special Needs Fair on Saturday, Sept. 14 in Pembroke Pines.

The free event which brings local resources for families, will take place at the Charles F. Dodge City Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“We’re excited to offer this event at a new location this year,” said Caitlin Stella, CEO of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. “It’s a great opportunity for families with children with special needs to discover essential resources and enjoy a day of fun and learning together.”

The event will feature more than 30 agency booths, including those Arc Broward, YMCA of South Florida, and Lighthouse of Broward, all offering information on services such as educational advocacy, therapeutic programs, recreational activities, and support networks. Special performances by the South Florida Cloggers and Hip Hop Kidz will add to the day’s excitement.

The fair is free and open to the public, but registration is encouraged.
