City of Miami police said they responded to a home in the area in reference to an assault.
Once they arrived, the victim told officers that she and the suspect, Terika Celestine Jones, have known each other for about four years and she recently found out that Jones has been involved in an “intimate relationship” with her ex-boyfriend, the report stated.
According to the report, the victim told Jones to come to her house and get her dog, which she had left there.
Police said the victim later opened the front door, but the dog ran out and got struck by a passing vehicle.
According to the report, the victim told Jones she would reimburse her for her dog, but Jones became aggressive.
Police said the victim stayed inside her home and refused to come out as she was in fear for what Jones might do.
Police said Jones then threw a stone through the victim’s bedroom window, where the victim and her two infant children sleep.
According to the report, no one was injured but the stone shattered the window and damaged a dresser inside the bedroom.
Police said the victim provided them with Ring footage of the incident.
She also later identified Jones in a photo.
Jones was located Tuesday and arrested on charges of shooting or throwing a deadly missile and criminal mischief.
According to her arrest report, Jones claimed the victim taunted her about her dog being dead, which angered her. Further statements made to detectives were redacted from the publicly released report.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Jones remained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $5,650 bond.
