The star edge rusher has been inching closer to a return since being activated off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list in mid-August.

Phillips, 25, who was a first-round pick in 2021 and played part of his college ball as a Miami Hurricane, recorded 43 tackles and 6.5 sacks before his season-ending injury.

Although Phillips missed most of the season, he was on pace for a career-high in sacks, tackles and penalties drawn.

Kickoff for Fins-Jags is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.
