Police arrest suspect in Biscayne Boulevard break-ins

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Police have made an arrest in connection with business break-ins along Biscayne Boulevard.

The suspect’s name is Joseph Forbes and, so far, he’s been charged with two break-ins in North Miami Beach.

Surveillance footage from several businesses caught a suspect breaking in through front windows or doors and immediately searching for cash.

There was a cellphone repair store and a neighboring guitar store that were both hit by the crook.

Margaret Wynn, who owns a business in the same strip mall that was broken into, said she’s relived there’s been an arrest.

“Thank God they got him, that no good,” she said.

Last week Local 10 News reported on the crimes that North Miami Beach police and Miami police were both working on.

After we aired our story, more business owners came forward with their stories and video.

At this point, Forbes has been charged in two cases, but detectives believe he has been causing this damage across the county.
