Campbell, 37, who signed with the Dolphins in June, has provided veteran leadership for a defense that lost ex-captain Christian Wilkins in free agency and will be joined by Long, Sieler and Ramsey who were also listed as first-time captains with the organization.
Tagovailoa, who signed a 4-year historic extension last month, joins Hill and Armstead as three-time team captains in the Mike McDaniel era. Ingold has been a team captain for the last two seasons.
Dolphins safety Jevon Holland was a captain in 2023, but the team decided not to list him as one in 2024.
It’s an interesting decision as Holland enters a contract year in 2024.
The Dolphins are looking to break their playoff winless streak of 24 years and will look to do so with the eight players they have chosen to put the ‘C’ patch on their jerseys.
