According to Coral Springs police, authorities responded to the 10500 block of Northwest 43rd Street after a boy called them at around 6:30 p.m. to report that a man in the home had been shot.
Court records show Malcolm lives on the same street.
Police said when they arrived at the home, two children exited and they heard a single gunshot. A woman, later identified as Malcolm, came out shortly after that.
Authorities said officers found a man dead of “multiple gunshot wounds” at the scene.
Authorities didn’t identify the victim nor specify whether the shooting took place at Malcolm’s home. They also didn’t say what — if any — relationship she had with the victim.
Police said they took her into custody, recovered a weapon and said there was no threat to the community.
Broward Sheriff’s Office records show that Malcolm was being held without bond in the agency’s Main Jail as of Monday.
