Police: 1 injured during armed robbery targeting tattoo shop employees in Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was injured during a shooting Thursday night in the back of The Miller Shops in Miami-Dade County, authorities confirmed.

According to police, two employees of the Eazy Street Tattoos, at 13433 SW 56 St., in Miami-Dade’s Kendale Lakes area were taking a break at the back of the business when they were ambushed by two armed men.

One of the Eazy Street Tattoo employees was running away when police said a gunman shot him, robbed both victims, and fled in a car that was likely stolen.

The injured victim was driven to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital by a bystander, where he remains in stable condition, authorities confirmed Friday.

Investigators said the second employee did not sustain any injuries and detectives are still investigating whether there is a connection between the victims and culprits.

While no arrests have been made at this time, Miami-Dade Police Detective Andre Martin said police were able to obtain surveillance video from neighboring businesses and have “strong leads” of the culprits involved in the incident.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
