MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins agreed to a contract extension with head coach Mike McDaniel on Friday.
The new deal will keep him as the leader of the team until 2028, according to NFL insider Jeff Darlington.

The exact terms of his new contract have not been disclosed.
Under McDaniel, the Dolphins will look to make the playoffs for a third consecutive season.
In 2023, Miami had the top-ranked offense in the NFL for the first time since 1994.
McDaniel, who is the 10th youngest coach in the NFL at 40 years old, is aiming to break the Dolphins playoff drought that dates back to 2000.
