Officials announced Altumint, a Maryland-based automated traffic enforcement company, is running the city’s visual technology and citation process.
Miami-Dade officials contracted BusPatrol America, a Virginia-based safety tech company, to enforce 668 school buses’ stop signs with $225 fines. According to the police’s most recent update on Instagram, the system has issued about 11,500 violations since the school year started.
