Stanley Cup brought to visit with kids at Boys & Girls Club of Broward County

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Stanley Cup is back in South Florida.

Following the Florida Panthers’ victory over the Edmonton Oilers earlier this summer, the team has been taking the historic trophy across the globe to celebrate.

On Tuesday, former Panthers forward Vladimir Tarasenko, who has since signed with the Detroit Red Wings, shared the Cup with youngsters at the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County.

Panthers mascot Stanley C. Panther was also at the fun event where Tarasenko also donated $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club.

Over the past couple months, the Cup has been to Finland with Panthers Captain Sasha Barkov and Sweden with defensemen Gus Forsling before making its way back to North America.

Since returning, Sam Bennett fulfilled another life-long dream by eating cereal out of the Cup with his father in Ontario.

Further south, the Cup went to New England where Evan Rodrigues - with the help of his little ones, white gloves and all - took it back to school at Boston University.

During his day, Matthew Tkachuk brought joy with the Cup to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
