1 injured in Miami Gardens shooting

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A shooting injured one person on Saturday night in Miami Gardens near the Norland and Andover neighborhoods.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots fired in a parking lot near the Super Stop convenience store at 255 NW 199 St. Miami Gardens police officers and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded.

A witness said the shooting was likely related to a man who was selling drugs on someone else’s turf, but police officers did not confirm the witness’s observation or any details about the crime scene.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel decided to take the injured person to the hospital.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
