DORAL, Fla. – A portion of the new Doral Central Park will open to the public with a community celebration this weekend.
The eastern portion of the park, located at 3005 NW 92nd Ave., will open on Saturday, Aug. 24 with an inauguration celebration for the community beginning at 5:30 p.m.

According to a media release, the park is part of the $150 million Doral Parks General Obligation Bond, which was passed by voters in November 2018.
The new amenities available to the public include playgrounds, amphitheater, multipurpose fields, skate park and pump track, a boardwalk, fishing pier and kayak launch, pavilions, and outdoor fitness equipment.
City officials said the western portion of the park is on schedule to be completed and opened to the community in early 2025. The latter half of the park will include the Community Center, Aquatic Facility, outdoor basketball and tennis courts and additional parking.
