Vehicle recovered in Hollywood death investigation after alleyway fire

Police interview possible suspect; ID not released

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A vehicle has been recovered in connection with a death investigation in Hollywood after police said they located a body that was burned in an alley nearly two weeks ago.

Authorities responded to the 500 block of North 21st Avenue around 12:43 a.m. on Aug. 12 where they discovered the deceased victim, who they have not identified at this time, lying in a fire.

Police confirmed they are interviewing a possible suspect in connection with the incident, though his or her identity has not been disclosed.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death and fire, which they believe is an isolated incident. The victim’s name will be released once the family has been notified, authorities said.
