POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Authorities in Broward County are investigating a fatal shooting.
It happened Monday just before 5 p.m. along the 1500 block of Northeast 28th Street in Pompano Beach.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies and rescue workers responded to the scene and found a man who had been shot multiple times.
First responders rushed the man to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was identified the next day as Keith Bryan Poole, 44, of Pompano Beach.
“According to witnesses, Poole was standing outside of his residence when a subject known to him began shooting,” BSO spokeswoman Miranda Grossman said in a news release. “Detectives say the shooter fled the scene following the incident. BSO Crime Scene and Homicide Unit detectives responded and are currently investigating the fatal shooting.”
Further details about the shooter were not immediately released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
