MIAMI – Miami police arrested a woman on an attempted murder charge Friday in connection with a May incident after they said she ran over another woman on purpose and told her she would “kill” her.
Police said Christal Azure Alexandre accused the victim, who had been celebrating her sister’s birthday in Wynwood with Alexandre’s ex-boyfriend, of “taking her man.”

An arrest report states that in the early morning of May 6, the victim first noticed Alexandre in a Wynwood parking lot standing next to her friend’s vehicle. Police said the woman asked if he knew who she was and her friend told her, “It’s my ex-girlfriend.”
Police said Alexandre, 26, of Miami Gardens, began following the pair after they left Wynwood, eventually driving in an “erratic” fashion and chasing them.
The report states that the victim and Alexandre stopped in the area of Flagler Street and Northwest Eighth Avenue in Little Havana and a verbal argument turned physical.
Police said Alexandre “accused her of taking her man” and as the victim walked away to call the police, Alexandre “swung at her,” punching her lip.
The report states that the victim walked away and Alexandre got back into her vehicle, threw it into reverse, then ran over the victim’s leg, screaming, “I’m going to kill you!”
The woman reported what happened to Miami police two days later, authorities said.
Police said they located Alexandre at a business park in Miami Lakes Friday and arrested her; she invoked her rights and didn’t speak with police.
As of Monday, Alexandre remained held without bond in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
