Video shows mobile home fire killing wheelchair user in Miami-Dade

1 dead, 1 injured at Palm Lake Mobile Home Park

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A mobile home resident Friday shared a video showing a fire that killed a neighbor and injured another in Miami-Dade County.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel found a woman dead and a man injured on Thursday night at the Palm Lake Mobile Home Park, at 7600 NW 27 Ave., in Miami-Dade’s Gladeview neighborhood.

The woman who died had used a wheelchair to get around for years. Relatives identified the man injured as Frank Pineda, a mechanic and long-time resident of the park.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. Detectives asked anyone with information about arson cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
