Man hospitalized after being shot at Davie gas station

DAVIE, Fla. – Police are investigating after they said a man was shot at a gas station in Davie Friday afternoon.

It happened just after 2 p.m. at the Rocket Fuel gas station, located at 4221 NW 66 Ave, near the intersection of Stirling Road and North 66th Avenue.

A gas station attendant told Local 10′s Layron Livingston that the man was shot in the back of the leg while putting gas into a neon Lamborghini before Davie police confirmed he was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Video obtained by Local 10 shows the moments first responders arrived at the scene. A bullet hole was also spotted in one of the gas pumps.

Two employees, who declined to speak on camera, said they were inside the store when they heard two gunshots.

Police have not disclosed any information on the victim’s age or identity at this time, nor have they announced any person or persons of interest in connection with the shooting.
