MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A good Samaritan made a surprising discovery on a South Florida beach Monday morning.

Briggs said the drugs were found by a good Samaritan, who alerted authorities.

Authorities said U.S. Border Patrol agents seized the cocaine, which Briggs confirmed has a street value of over $1 million.

Briggs did not disclose the name of the beach where the drugs were discovered, and the origin of the cocaine remains unclear at this time.
