Newly-released video shows fatal South Beach nightclub shooting

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Authorities have released video from the night a South Beach bouncer was shot and killed outside a nightclub.

The video is from early in the morning on Sunday, May 12 outside the Exchange nightclub on Washington Avenue near 15th Street.

As people and cars are walking and driving, a man can be seen walking up to the club, pulling out gun and opening fire.

The man who was shot, 31-year-old Marley William Lester Case, was hit several times and would later die.

“There was an aura around him, this peace, this smile, there was always this smile,” said Carlos Maza, Case’s teacher and mentor. “I think about this son, and I think about all the other people he was going to touch in his life.”

Less than 24 hours later, police arrested 28-year old Dvon Row, who they say was the shooter.

In surveillance video taken before the shooting, there is a chaotic scene outside the club. Police say they were called to remove Row for fighting.

According to police, Row did leave, but returned a short time later with the gun, shooting and killing Case.
