MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Police are investigating after they said an individual was airlifted to the hospital after being shot in Miami Gardens Friday afternoon.
It happened just after 2:30 p.m. near the 600 block of Northwest 177th Street.

According to Miami Gardens police, “a Black male victim was located suffering from a gunshot wound to the body.”
Authorities said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue airlifted the victim to a local hospital.
Police did not disclose the age or condition of the victim and no arrest or arrests have been announced at this time.
No other details about the shooting were immediately released.
