PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – An investigation is ongoing after a body was found floating in a Broward County canal on Wednesday.
The canal is located near Southwest 196th Avenue, just south of Pembroke Road in Pembroke Pines.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the canal after receiving a call of a body possibly in the water.
Police said it was fishermen who initially discovered the body and called authorities.
A submerged vehicle was also located, police said.
Authorities have yet to identify the person who was pulled from the water.
