Deerfield Beach man, 27, has been missing for over 2 weeks

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit released a new photo Tuesday and asked for the public’s help in locating a 27-year-old man from Deerfield Beach who has been reported missing for over two weeks.

According to detectives, Alexander Acevedo was last seen at around 10:15 a.m. on July 14, near the 3500 block of West Hillsboro Boulevard.

Investigators said Acevedo weighs is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a cross tattooed on his left arm.

According to his family, Acevedo experiences mental illness which requires medication.
