Prosecutors dropped or took no action on charges of attempted kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted false imprisonment.

State troopers alleged that Puig crashed his blue Dodge Caravan into the victim’s pickup truck as he drove north on U.S. 27 towards Krome Avenue, running the truck off the road and later used a crowbar to hit it. He was also accused of punching the victim in the face.

Puig received four years of probation following his guilty plea in late June.
