At approximately 3:30 a.m. Monday, detectives said they responded to a home on Lincoln Avenue to meet with the victim regarding an armed robbery that occurred near the 14000 block of Northwest 21st Court.

The victim told police he had received a phone call from his girlfriend to meet with Dixon about a debt owed to Dixon, according to the report.

Johnson, who recently moved out of Dixon’s residence, arrived at the home on his electric scooter, the report stated.

While discussing payment arrangements, police said an argument between both men ensued, at which time Dixon allegedly pulled out a gun and demanded the electric scooter from the victim.

In fear for his life, authorities said the victim complied and later notified a nearby patrol officer.

Police said they later located Dixon near the 1400 block of Northwest 21st Court and took him into custody.

Witnesses, including the victim’s girlfriend and another individual, confirmed that Dixon had pulled out the gun and taken the scooter, according to detectives.

Authorities said Dixon signed a consent form allowing officers to search the premises. The search resulted in the recovery of the electric scooter and the gun, which were impounded as evidence.

Police did not disclose in the arrest report the specific details of the debt owed by the victim to Dixon.

Jail records show Dixon, a convicted felon, remains at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bond has not yet been determined as of Tuesday afternoon.
