MIAMI – Miami police confirmed Friday morning that a man died after losing control of his scooter and falling off.
According to police, the crash was reported at 3:41 a.m. in the area of Northwest Seventh Avenue and 14th Street.

Miami police Officer Kiara Delva confirmed the crash was fatal. Sky 10 was above the scene at 7:19 a.m. as a tarp covered a body on the ground.
Authorities initially believed the crash was a hit-and-run but discovered that only the scooter was involved.
Police confirmed that the victim was not wearing a helmet.
No other details were immediately released.
