Suspect arrested following police chase that began in Broward, ended in Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police took a man into custody late Tuesday night following a chase that covered two counties.

According to authorities, the suspect fled after Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives attempted to serve an arrest warrant.

The pursuit started in the area of I-95 and Hallandale Beach Boulevard after the suspect struck two vehicles while taking off, police said.

BSO said its helicopter assisted in the pursuit, as did several other law enforcement agencies as the suspect drove through several department’s jurisdictions.

Eventually, officers were able to take the suspect, who has not been identified by police, into custody in the area of Northwest 123rd Avenue and Fifth Court in Miami-Dade County.

No injuries were reported.
