Detectives with BSO’s Threat Management Unit responded to the courthouse and began an investigation with BSO’s courthouse deputies.

Authorities said the threats emanated from 31-year-old Scott Clark, an inmate at BSO’s North Broward Bureau.

During an interview with detectives, Scott confessed to making the threats, according to BSO.

Clark, who has been in custody since his arrest in May by BSO Tamarac District deputies for charges including grand theft auto and burglary, now faces additional charges of making a false report concerning planting a bomb, explosive or weapon of mass destruction or concerning the use of a firearm in a violent manner.

Clark remained at BSO’s North Broward Bureau where his bond has not been determined as of Friday evening.
