Video shows gunman accused of shooting victim in the head in Hialeah

Police officers investigate shooting

HIALEAH, Fla. – Surveillance video shows the gunman who detectives were searching on Friday afternoon after accusing him of shooting a man in the head in Hialeah.

Judy Rodriguez said she saw the victim bleeding early Friday morning near Palm Avenue and East 12 Street.

“When I helped him, I thought he was dead,” Rodriguez said adding she ran and called 911 and was later “relieved” when she saw him moving.

A witness who asked not to be named said he saw the gunman fire at the victim four times. Police officers said the victim, who is in his 70s, was hospitalized.

The owner of a jewelry store gave another surveillance video showing the crime to police, but detectives told him not to release it to the public yet, as the investigation was ongoing.
