Pembroke Pines man, 39, accused of sexually battering boy

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Police announced the arrest of a man Thursday who they say sexually battered a boy in Pembroke Pines last month.

According to Pembroke Pines police, 39-year-old Saul Alfonso Silva Valecillos is facing 14 counts that include sexual battery on a minor, online solicitation to engage in unlawful sexual conduct and possession of child pornography.

Authorities said they received a sexual battery call involving a boy on June 30 at a home in the Grand Palms community near the 15000 block of Southwest 12th Street.

Investigation revealed that the boy attended a wedding after-party at Silva Valecillos’ home, where detectives said he “consumed three alcoholic drinks that he poured himself” and passed out in a backroom of the home.

The boy told detectives that he could not recall how he moved from the kitchen into a bedroom at the home, but stated that he had lost consciousness, according to an arrest report.

The boy said he was woken up in a dark room by the feeling of his pants being lowered by Silva Valecillos who “performed oral sex on the victim without his consent,” the report stated.

Police said after the victim realized what was happening, he pushed Silva Valecillos out of the way and fled from the home.

After the victim reported the incident to his parents, they contacted police.

Detectives said after further investigating the incident they found that Silva Valecillos had contacted the victim via cellphone and requested “sexually explicit photos,” of him.

“There was an account takeover and we all worked in unison as a team and created what the suspect believed was a meet location in order to engage in sexual conduct with what he perceived to be the juvenile,” said Pembroke Pines Police Capt. Adam Feiner.

Police said Silva Valecillos traveled to a shopping plaza for what he believed was a meeting with the boy, but was taken into police custody.

“Investigators have not identified any evidence to suggest that Silva Valecillos had any other inappropriate contact with children,” detectives wrote in a news release Thursday.

Silva Valecillos’ arrest report states that he denied having any sexual interaction with the victim when speaking to detectives.

Jail records show he is being held without bond at the Paul Rein Detention Facility as of Thursday.

However, if a parent or guardian believes that their child may have encountered Silva Valecillos, they are urged to contact lead Detective Ralph Rienzo with the Special Victims Unit at rrienzo@ppines.com or by calling 954-743-1616.
