MIRAMAR, Fla. – Two victims were robbed at gunpoint early Thursday morning outside of a Flanigan’s Seafood Bar and Grill in Miramar, authorities confirmed.

According to Tania Ordaz, a spokeswoman with the Miramar Police Department, the incident occurred at 12:39 a.m. when two culprits approached the victims as they were leaving the restaurant, located at 11225 Miramar Parkway.

Ordaz said the culprits fled with some personal belongings after the robbery.

Authorities said shortly after the victims’ belongings were taken, they fired shots at the culprits, who returned fire.

No injuries have been reported at this time and it does not appear that anyone was hit during the incident, Ordaz confirmed.

Police did not disclose what belongings were taken from the victims during the armed robbery.

Miramar police are investigating the incident and no other details were immediately released.
