MIAMI – A man is facing two criminal charges after Miami police said he demanded new clothes from his ex-girlfriend, telling her that if she didn’t comply, he would spread her nude photos on social media.
Keon Torrell Ponton Jr., 19, of Miramar, is facing a second-degree felony extortion charge and a misdemeanor sexual cyberharrassment charge. Miami police arrested him Wednesday.

According to an arrest report, Ponton and the victim dated for roughly three years and broke up about eight months prior to his arrest.
Authorities said the woman, who lives in the Liberty City neighborhood, went to a Miami police substation Monday to report what had happened to her.
The report states that after texting the woman with the demand that she buy him new clothes, Ponton sent screenshots of nude photos of her he had put on a group chat.
He then threatened “to post more pictures of the victim nude on Facebook and Reddit,” police wrote.
Police said Ponton made an admission during a controlled call between him and the victim. Authorities redacted those details from the report.
Officers arrested Ponton during a traffic stop Wednesday at Northwest 71st Street and 12th Avenue.
Jail records show he remained in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on an $8,000 bond as of Thursday afternoon.
