Police said officers arrived at the scene two minutes later and found 35-year-old Donovan Patch Stephens on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to authorities, officers immediately began rendering aid to Stephens, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police confirmed that a gun was recovered in the area.

A neighbor who did not want to be identified told Local 10 News they woke up to the gunfire moments after the shooting occurred.

“Four shots,” said the neighbor. “I looked out my window and police were already here. They had the guy arrested.”

Authorities, however, said this is an “ongoing investigation and no arrests have been made.”

They confirmed that detectives are speaking with one person involved in the shooting who provided a statement that has not been publicly released at this time.

“No additional suspects are being sought, and there is no active threat to the community,” the police department posted on Facebook.

No other details were immediately released.
