Demolition team implodes apartment building to make way for The Salato

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A demolition team imploded an apartment building Wednesday morning in an up-and-coming area in Broward County — where several luxury residential developments facing the Atlantic Ocean have been powering forward.

U.S. Development, the real estate developer behind the demolition, made way for a new condominium just north of residential development projects by The Ritz-Carlton and Waldorf Astoria along South Ocean Boulevard.

The vision: The Salato Pompano Beach, a 40-unit beachfront condominium with six penthouses, designed by Randall Stofft Architects with floor-to-ceiling windows, and one level dedicated to outdoor and indoor amenities.

The real estate developer also teamed up with Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, IMI Worldwide Properties, and local interior designer Steven G. to make the vision of Salato a reality at 305 Briny Ave.
