DORAL, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County will be hosting its 13th annual Breastfeeding Awareness Family Day on Aug. 24th.
The event will take place at Doral Legacy Park at 11400 NW 82nd Street, Doral, FL 33178, from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
There will be activities for the whole family including a health & resource expo with over 50+ sponsors and partners, parent workshops, children’s activities with face painting, balloon art, splash pad, indoor and outdoor playground, and giveaways.
The South Florida Latch-athon, a 24hr in-person and virtual event to count as many latches, pumping or chestfeeding sessions in a 24hr period in South Florida, will also kick off at this event for the third year in a row, hosted by BreastfeedMIAMI. To participate, click on this link.
