MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities responded to reports of a possible shooting on Monday afternoon in Miami-Dade County.
It happened inside a mobile home community near the intersection of Northwest 79th Street and 27th Avenue in the county’s West Little River neighborhood.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, units responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. for a medical call that was possibly in reference to a shooting.
A man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was taken by rescue units to a trauma center in critical condition, authorities said.
Miami-Dade police confirmed that there was a shooting that occurred and that one person had been taken into custody.
Police have not provided any information on the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
The identity of the suspect in custody or what charges they are facing has also not been released by authorities.
