FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Moses “Moe” Francois’s tattoos include “Married to the Game” on his right arm. Detectives say it’s his commitment to narcotrafficking that will likely put him back in prison.
Francois was born in Miami. When he was 20 years old, he faced charges in Broward drug court that included tampering with evidence. The case was dropped. He was arrested again twice in Broward for drug-related charges when he was just 22.

When he was 24, Francois was convicted of charges related to the trafficking of cocaine, heroin, and marijuana in Broward County and he was sentenced to two years in prison. The Florida Department of Corrections released him on Feb. 20, 2015.
Except for traffic cases, Francois managed to stay out of trouble in Broward until last year. At 32, detectives accused him of drug trafficking again after an undercover detective reported catching him in the act twice.
The detective who contacted Francois via cell phone and recorded him selling him $100 worth of heroin and fentanyl on May 23, 2023, at the corner of East Sunrise Boulevard and Northeast Fourth Avenue, and again two days later, according to a police report.
Member of the Broward County Drug Task Force chased Francois and arrested him on June 14, 2023, in Fort Lauderdale. They reported searching his apartment at the corner of Northeast Seventh Avenue and 14 Street in the Middle River Terrace neighborhood.
After detectives reported finding fentanyl and cocaine at his apartment, Broward County prosecutors charged Francois with two first-degree felonies, three second-degree felonies, a third-degree felony, and a first-degree misdemeanor.
On July 25, 2023, Francois pleaded not guilty to the charges of trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking heroin, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, two counts of delivery of fentanyl, unlawful use of a two-way communications device, and resisting an officer without violence.
Court records show Broward County Circuit Judge Michael Rothschild agreed to allow him to travel for work on Sept. 29, 2023, as long as he wore a GPS monitor. Records show a pre-trial services specialist accused him of “tampering” with the monitor and fleeing on June 19.
Rothschild issued an arrest warrant on June 26. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested the 33-year-old fugitive and convicted felon on Friday and he was at the main jail on Saturday in Fort Lauderdale on the pending drug trafficking case.
Rothschild ordered BSO correctional deputies to hold Francois without bond.
