According to a Miramar Police Department arrest report, Jones was on probation for aggravated stalking when he threw a brick at a car injuring his ex-girlfriend on May 3, 2023, near Preserve Way and Miramar Boulevard.

The victim “advised she recently broke up with Jones two weeks ago and came to his mother’s house at the above location to return his belongings ... it was then that she noticed that Jones was following her,” Officer Johanna Cabarcas wrote in the report.

Court records show Jones, who was born in Miami and is also known as Roddy Jones, was arrested at the same location in Pembroke Pines in 2020 on a pending warrant for kidnapping and intimidation of a witness in North Carolina.

Broward records show Jones is facing charges of throwing a deadly missile into a vehicle, a second-degree felony; aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony; and resisting an officer without violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.

A judge set his bond for the two felonies at $10,000 and denied him a bond for the misdemeanor charge. Broward County Circuit Judge Susan L. Alspector was set to preside over the case.
