Police search for suspect who robbed couple at gunpoint in Sunny Isles Beach condo garage

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Fla. – Police are searching for a suspect behind an armed robbery that was caught on camera.

It happened on Tuesday night in a parking garage located along the 17500 block of Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach.

Local 10 News exclusively obtained video of the robbery.

A couple can be seen exiting their Bentley when an armed assailant ran up on them.

In the video, the suspect points a gun right at the woman while he grabs her bag, yanking her over.

Then, with sights set on the man, the suspect appears to strike the couple at least twice with his gun.

A source confirmed to Local 10 News that the crook stole the man’s Rolex watch.

Sunny Isles Beach police said the pair was followed by the suspect after dining out in a neighboring city.

A source confirmed the pair was at Houston’s restaurant in North Miami Beach, about an eight minute drive from their home.

The source added that this is believed to been a crime of opportunity and not related to other Rolex robberies.

Police are actively searching for the suspect.
