VIDEO: Cops seek suspects after North Miami Beach smoke shop owner shot dead in robbery

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – North Miami Beach police said Wednesday that they’re seeking four suspects, including a gunman, responsible for a deadly robbery at a smoke shop.

Surveillance video captured the moment the shooter opened fire on June 11, killing 35-year-old store owner Salem Albakri.

Albakri, originally from Buffalo, New York, recently opened Miami Cloudz Smoke Shop at 2063 NE 163rd St. in order to support himself and his wife, family members said; he had just recently gotten married.

Video shows the group appearing to sample a product when a man in a red hoodie pulls out a gun, points it at Albakri and fires at least one shot before the group runs out of the store.

“I hope they all get caught and arrested,” one customer told Local 10 News.

Heartbroken family members said they don’t understand why anyone would take their loved one’s life.

North Miami Beach police asked anyone with information, “no matter how insignificant it may seem,” to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
