MIAMI – Four Georgia women are facing two felony charges each after they worked together to steal thousands of dollars in merchandise from retailers at Miami’s Brickell City Centre, according to arrest reports obtained by Local 10 News on Wednesday.

On Sunday, Miami police arrested Brittany Collins, 19, and Raven Williams, 24, both of Duluth, Georgia, as well as two other women from metro Atlanta: Kayla Mize, 18, of Buford, Georgia, and Kataya Williams, 19, of Atlanta.

According to police, the quartet went into the Saks Fifth Avenue at the open-air mall, located at 81 SW Eighth St., and stole $8,000 worth of goods: Three Balenciaga handbags, two Marc Jacobs handbags, a black Burberry handbag, a red Balmain bikini swimsuit and a floral bikini swimsuit.

Arrest reports state that surveillance video showed the group walking into the store’s fitting rooms, then leaving “with the merchandise placed into their personal handbags with aluminum foil wrapped around the theft sensors of each item.”

Saks Fifth Avenue loss prevention officers apprehended the women and called police, the reports state.

Police said the women also had stolen goods from Brickell City Centre’s Lululemon and Victoria’s Secret stores. However, representatives from those stores declined to press charges after recovering the merchandise.

Police arrested each woman on charges of coordinated retail theft and using an antishoplifting device.

All remained in the Miami-Dade jail as of Wednesday, jail records show.
