Police seek driver of Honda involved in fatal hit-and-run crash in Coconut Creek

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – The Coconut Creek Police Department asked for the public’s help Tuesday with locating a driver who they say was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash last month.

According to CCPD spokesperson Scotty Leamon, the vehicle of interest is a molten lava red 2018-2021 Honda Civic SI.

The alleged vehicle in question is missing its right side mirror and is expected to have damage consistent with swiping a guardrail, including damage to its front windshield, Leamon said.

The image at the top of this story is a stock photo representing the car’s make and model, but it is not the actual vehicle involved, according to police.

They say the incident occurred on June 26 in the 400 block of South Lyons Road and involved a pedestrian.

Authorities did not release any information on the deceased victim involved in the incident.
