Man, 20, shot dead near Liberty City intersection

MIAMI – Miami police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting that they say left a man in his 20s dead Monday afternoon.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Northwest Seventh Avenue and 58th Street in the Liberty City neighborhood.

Police said arriving officers found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Family members at the crime scene identified the victim to Local 10 News as 20-year-old Treyshawn Wright, who would have turned 21 on July 28.

Sky 10 flew over the scene where the man’s body was covered by a white tarp next to a black Cadillac Escalade with bullet holes in its windshield and a gun.
