FBI seeks help finding potential victims of alleged cyber stalker who frequently traveled to Miami

BALTIMORE, Md. – The FBI announced in a press release Monday that its Baltimore Field Office is looking to find potential victims of an alleged serial cyber stalker, who they said frequently traveled to Miami.

The suspect, Richard Michael Roe, was recently indicted on charges of cyberstalking under federal law for allegedly making harassing phone calls and sending harassing texts and emails, according to the press release.

The FBI’s investigation revealed that Roe cyberstalked multiple victims over the course of a year via various phone calls and texts a day, according to the press release. The FBI believes Roe targeted about six people and two businesses from December 2019 to January 2021, it states.

Roe used spoofed phone numbers and email accounts to reach victims, according to the release.

The FBI is now seeking the public’s help to identify potential victims who may have been harassed by Roe, according to the press release.
