Police respond to rollover crash on Miramar Parkway

MIRAMAR, Fla. – A rollover crash on Miramar Parkway Thursday evening left a person hospitalized, authorities confirmed.

Sky 10 flew over the 16400 block of Miramar Pkwy, where the crash appeared to involve three vehicles, including two white SUVs.

Miramar police said a person was transported to a nearby hospital with a head injury after the crash occurred.

Sky 10 showed the aftermath of a white SUV appearing to have collided with the rear of another vehicle before flipping on its side and onto the other white vehicle.

Emergency crews were seen working to determine the circumstances.

A tow truck was also seen towing a third vehicle at the side of the road after it sustained heavy damage to its backside.

The crash has caused major traffic disruptions, affecting both directions on Miramar Parkway, authorities said.

Delays extended from Southwest 160th Avenue to Southwest 172nd Avenue, with traffic moving as slow as 16 mph, according to traffic scanners. All the lanes have since been reopened.

No other details about the crash were immediately released.
