Hialeah woman spots dad’s stolen semi truck, leads cops to suspects

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A South Florida woman took action after suddenly spotting her father’s stolen semi. Unbelievably, the stolen truck passed her on the Palmetto Expressway.

The 22-year-old Hialeah woman, who did not want her identity revealed, said it all happened on June 3.

She said once she saw the truck, she was determined to get it back for her dad.

“We were following him for a very long time, 20 to 30 minutes,” she said. “He made this very awkward turn and then we had to make that very awkward turn behind him.”

Eventually, they made it to northeast Miami-Dade.

By then, police had showed up. They got the 18-wheeler into a parking lot, but the suspects took off.

But cops were able to catch up to them and cuff them.

What did her dad say after all this?

“He said ‘eres una llegua,’” she said. “A female horse. Like, ‘you’re a beast,’ you know what I’m saying?”

Police took two men taken into custody. They haven’t yet been publicly identified.
