FLORIDA CITY, Fla. – A 15-year-old boy died on Saturday in Florida City after he was shot in the head, police said.
According to the Florida City Police Department, Shot Spotter technology alerted them to the shooting along Northwest 13 Street, between Fifth and Fourth avenues.
Florida City police officers reported trying to save the teenage boy’s life after finding him wounded. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel pronounced him dead.
Miami-Dade homicide detectives are investigating the homicide. They asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
