Police: 1 dead, 1 injured after shooting in Miami’s Little River area

MIAMI – A 30-year-old man died on Saturday morning after a shooting in Miami’s Littler River neighborhood, police said.

According to Officer Michael Vega, a spokesman for the Miami Police Department, the shooting also wounded another man shortly before midnight on Friday at Northwest 69 Street and North Miami Avenue.

Police officers and fire rescue personnel responded after two Shot Spotter tech alerts alerted them. Fire rescue personnel took a wounded man to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center where he later died. The other man injured who survived arrived at the hospital.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
