MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Robert Eugene Ransone left state prison on Sept. 6, 2023 after serving a little less than nine months of a one-year sentence for burglary and grand theft.
According to the Florida Department of Corrections, it was his sixth stint in prison since 1988.

The 53-year-old could be headed for a seventh after his latest arrest — on 17 felony charges — Tuesday.
Miami-Dade police accused Ransone of operating a chop shop out of his home at 1940 NW 107th St., along the Little River Canal in the unincorporated Westview area.
They said officers found five stolen Infinitis, one stolen Nissan Altima, plus a trove of stolen vehicle components and license plates.
According to an arrest report, police became aware of the operation after the Collier County Sheriff’s Office informed them of a stolen 2024 Infiniti Q50 pinging near Ransone’s home Tuesday morning.
The report states that officers found the stolen Infiniti and, eventually, the rest of the vehicles and took Ransone into custody.
Ransone, who state records show uses a slew of aliases, including “Robert Allen,” “Juan Manuel Arango,” “Billy Rispoli” and “David Guerra,” has been convicted in the three most populous South Florida counties: Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach.
Nearly all of the convictions were for burglary or grand theft, though he’s also dabbled in violent crime, with 2010 Miami-Dade convictions for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and robbery.
He’s facing 10 counts of grand theft auto, six counts of felony criminal mischief and one count of owning or operating a chop shop.
He was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center as of Wednesday morning, where his overall bond was listed in online records as “to be set.”
