MCSO spokesperson Adam Linhardt said that’s when the woman noticed Nestor Miguel Zavala Zepeda, 29, sitting on her front porch.

Linhardt said Zavala Zepeda “stopped the victim from closing her front door, gained entry inside and began hugging her without her consent.”

Authorities said she was able to get him out of the house and called 911.

Linhardt said Zavala Zepeda continued to try to get back into the woman’s house until deputies arrived and took him into custody.

Zavala Zepeda, facing charges of burglary with assault or battery and misdemeanor battery, was being held without bond in MCSO’s Key West jail facility as of Tuesday morning, according to jail records.
